Position Details

We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join us full-time. Someone passionate about cybersecurity hygiene, processes, procedures, testing, and support, both internally with product and employees and externally with customers, partners, and vendors.

From the critical and necessary administrative and analysis efforts to the quality control, tooling, and reporting disciplines that strengthen cybersecurity posture.

The successful candidate has a security-first mindset and is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and proactive with an entrepreneurial passion for continuous improvement, efficiency, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Cybersecurity Operations
    • Assist in managing and building Defendify’s internal cybersecurity program.
    • Configuration and deployment of cybersecurity tools.
    • Cybersecurity testing, analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
    • Cybersecurity policy and plan review, development, and iteration.
    • Collaboration with Defendify leadership on cybersecurity program improvements.
    • Collaboration with external resources in supplement to internal cybersecurity efforts.
  • Business Operations
    • Assist with customer platform activation and configuration, onboarding, and cybersecurity program deployment.
    • Ongoing data review and analysis and custom reporting for customers and partners.
    • Tier 2 support ticket handling including follow ups, maintenance, communication, issue resolution, and escalation—internally and externally.
  • Sales Engineering/Support
    • Join business development calls (as necessary) to assist account executives in discussing cybersecurity strategies and addressing technical questions during prospecting activities and demonstrations.
    • Join on customer calls (as necessary), to help current customers navigate cybersecurity items such as technical report reviews.
    • Assist in guiding customers with basic remediation strategies and recommendations for hygiene improvements (but not performing remediation tasks).
  • Research & Development
    • Assist in providing cybersecurity insight and perspective into ongoing and future Defendify core product feature development.
    • Research and provide insights on cybersecurity climates and topics to aid and inform product and market positioning.
    • Technical writing, process improvement, and documentation including developing internal/external knowledge base content and supporting materials.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a flexible position open to candidates with varying levels of experience and offers long term growth potential. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, and is variable based on personal and team performance.
